BRIEF + OVERVIEW
Although designers typically spend four or more years honing their skills and preparing for professional life in a college setting, a noticeable gap often remains between student and professional. This divide can lead to frustration for employers and challenges in adjustment for newly hired designers. However, within this gap lies an opportunity—to build a bridge between education and industry. The task was to develop a solution that eases this transition and to present it in an experiential space that strengthens the connection between aspiring and established designers.

SOLUTION
Research into the transition from design education to industry identified a critical "experience gap" where emerging professionals struggle to navigate real-world strategic demands and competitive isolation. While existing networking platforms facilitate job searches and portfolio hosting, a void exists for authentic, community-driven connection and mentorship. The solution is CO, a centralized platform designed to bridge this divide through an ecosystem rooted in "togetherness" and partnership. The brand identity is anchored by a three-ring symbol—representing a Venn diagram of overlapping perspectives—and a visual language that balances professional clarity with creative authenticity. By utilizing a vibrant, RGB-inspired palette alongside raw gridlines and hand-drawn elements, the system emphasizes the iterative, human nature of the design process. Ultimately, CO provides a space where designers can communicate their personal value and forge meaningful industry connections, effectively shortening the distance between aspiring talent and established practice.
